ACO 1-05: Petrochemical Department Leader/Senior Staff Engineer
A unique and challenging career opportunity exists for a seasoned engineer or metallurgist with experience and contacts in the petrochemical industry to establish and lead a client/discipline-oriented operating group -- the Anamet Petrochemical Department. The position will be expected to enhance the capabilities and depth of Anamet’s established failure analysis and forensic engineering services group. The candidate must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be willing to devote considerable efforts to earn incentive-based rewards. Success in this position will lead to compensation rewards, an executive position and title, and potential commensurate company ownership (equity) opportunities.
Specific requirements of the candidate are:

A minimum of 15 years demonstrated experience in the petrochemical industry as an engineer or metallurgist in support of process plant operations, |
 |
 |
An advanced degree and PE license or PhD in a related field, |
 |
 |
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the investigation of materials, equipment and systems failures in the petrochemical industry, |
 |
 |
Advanced oral and written communications skills, |
 |
 |
Technical services management skills, |
 |
 |
An understanding of development and marketing techniques in the technical services arena, and |
 |
 |
Experience as a team player and in managing and directing a technical staff serving multiple clients. | |
The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in their engineering field with consulting experience and an established track record, or have the ability to quickly transfer or develop a practice area within the Anamet structure. Specialized knowledge of documentation and handling of components from the petrochemical industry, metallurgical laboratory techniques, failure analysis protocols, corrosion processes and welding technology is required. Expert witness testimony on legal matters outside of the petrochemical arena may also be required.
